The Galleria

Weird Me
Well, did the motherly thing and took my kids out today to the movies. Ended up watching Madagascar as they didn't want to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think the only good thing about the movie was the fantastic use of backing music for various scenes. That made me laugh, but that was about it. Oh well, anyone want to come to the Wedding Crashers with me?

After the movie we walked round the shopping centre and I went into the new big HMV, twice as big as our St. Albans one.

Looked through NME there and read some reviews, Slothhman's Sufjan Stevens Come On Feel The Illinoise! Was highly recomended, I looked for it, couldn't find it so asked. It's not available, they can get it in but it's £19.99. Sorry, no thank you.
There was also a review for Picaresque - 4/10 and I quote here " terrible folk music from people who probably smell bad" :P I asked for any Decemberists album, they can also be ordered in and are all £20 and above too. (amazon.co.uk is that my name you're calling?)
He did try to sell me Franz Ferdinad though, on special offer at £4.99.

On the whole a disappointing experience, the only thing they had on the shelves that I hadn't got and may have wanted was another import from the states £24.99 for a double cd. Heck, I can go there myself and buy it in person for only another hundred or so pounds

Goodbye HMV, it was nice knowing you.
